Dealing With Physical Concerns and Side Effects of Cancer
Your care team is committed to helping you manage the physical concerns, side effects and symptoms that can occur during and after cancer treatment.
Those can include fatigue, nausea and/or physical changes such as skin rashes or swelling. It can be hard to know if symptoms are related to cancer treatments or to the cancer itself. Either way, you need to be reassured there are effective ways of helping you deal with these symptoms.
Always make sure you explain your symptoms to your medical team and let them know how your symptoms are affecting you. They’ll help you to understand what will be involved in treatment, after-procedure care and symptom management, and who you can call for additional help.
Below are guided imagery meditation and deep breathing exercises to help reduce anxiety, stress, fatigue, restlessness, difficulty sleeping and physical discomfort.
