Tanuja A. Bhandari, M.D.

Tanuja Bhandari, M.D., brings nearly two decades of radiation oncology experience to City of Hope. Patients praise her skill, as well as her "kind, empathetic bedside manner."
Dr. Bhandari is well-versed in brachytherapy, image-guided radiation therapy and intraoperative radiation therapy. This method employs a one-time radiation treatment during breast cancer surgery, eliminating the need for weeks of follow-up treatments.
Dr. Bhandari received her medical degree from American University in Coral Gables, Florida. She continued her training at Allegheny General Hospital, an affiliate hospital of Drexel University which serves as the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project headquarters in Pittsburgh.
Prior to her training at Allegheny General Hospital, Dr. Bhandari completed an internship in internal medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, an affiliate hospital of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Bhandari also received her health care M.B.A. from University of California Irvine.
