Yaser Homsi, M.D.
Yaser Homsi, M.D., was in medical school when his mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer and died at 41 years old. This motivated Dr. Homsi to become an oncologist, and his passion to provide patients with the best possible care remains unwavering today. At the same time, he is energized to be part of a rapidly evolving medical field with breakthroughs arising regularly.
A native of Syria, Dr. Homsi earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo. At Indiana University School of Medicine, he was a resident in internal medicine and a fellow in oncology, hematology, and blood and bone marrow stem cell transplantation. His research includes an overview of stem cell transplantation from matched donors and of immunotherapy to fight multiple myeloma.
Fluent in Arabic, Dr. Homsi enjoys spending time with his family, biking and playing tennis.
